Knowledge-Action Networks (KANs) are interdisciplinary and international collaborative frameworks organized by Future Earth to facilitate integrative sustainability research and generate the knowledge needed to inform solutions for complex societal issues.
The Natural Assets KAN brings together focuses primarily on the interface between natural assets and key aspects of human wellbeing and on the challenge of predicting how changes to ecosystems and their biota will alter the benefits that human societies derive from them, and how to safeguard threatened ecosystems to support humankind in the future.
Past activities:
- Natural Assets definition workshop, 12-13 September, 2017, Bern (Switzerland)
- Natural Assets KAN session at the II Conference of the Programme on Ecosystem Change and Society, November 2017
