Knowledge transfer
Building capacity for sustainable mountain biodiversity conservation and management
The conservation and sustainable management of mountain biodiversity need well-trained inter- and transdisciplinary scientists around the world. The transfer of different types of knowledge across scientific fields, geographies, cohorts of scientists, and knowledge holders is a key element towards sustainability. GMBA aim to help strengthen the skills, abilities, knowledge, and resources that scientists and actors of mountain biodiversity conservation and management need. This entails a commitment to facilitate contributions by and the participation of a diverse and gender-balanced community of members as well as a growing community of ECRs. Our capacity-building activities include:
- Early career researchers' market place
- Early career researchers' engagement opportunities
- Online teaching materials, such as Alpandino
