GMBA Mountain Portal @ SciDataCon 2016

13.09.2016, Denver (CO). The Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment presents the beta version of its new Mountain Portal at the SciDataCon2016. With its presentation "The GMBA Mountain Portal – towards a global map of mountain biodiversity" GMBA, a core project of Future Earth, is contributing to the "Future Earth Network for Scientific Information (and data) to support Sustainability (FENSIS)" session and to a discussion on Future Earth partnership activities associated with data and information.

The GMBA Mountain Portal is a state-of-the-art web portal for mountain biodiversity data mobilization, query, visualization, and analysis, powered by Map of Life. Its use by scientists, stakeholders, and policy makers will greatly contribute to progress in mountain biodiversity science and management.
